Networking: Meet local business contacts
October 13: Business breakfast and SpeedConnect
The Chamber breakfast covers the business behind the Las Vegas Grand Prix. Doors open at 7:30 a.m., with the program scheduled for 7:45–8:30 a.m. and networking through 9 a.m.
Listed advance prices are $45 for members and $80 for nonmembers, with higher walk-in rates. The posted cancellation deadline was October 9. Verify remaining availability before paying.
HCC SpeedConnect, also on October 13, uses short, structured rounds for introductions and potential referrals. Confirm its time, venue and admission separately.
October 22: Mixer at Eureka!
The Chamber's outdoor-patio mixer at Eureka! offers a less formal setting for business conversations. Listed prepaid admission is $20 for members and $40 for nonmembers; walk-in prices are $25 and $45 respectively. Check the event listing for availability and changes. |

Community participation: October 16–17
On October 16, the I CAN BE career fair at Pinecrest Academy–Cadence lists a volunteer opportunity for professionals helping students explore careers.
The Henderson Sport & Social Community Kickoff Celebration is listed for October 16–17. Organizers describe a 180,000-square-foot sports and entertainment destination.
The third annual Truck Pull at Cowabunga Bay, scheduled for October 17, supports Special Olympics Nevada. Team and spectator participation details should be checked with the organizer.
