A new dessert stop has opened at 3360 St. Rose Parkway in Henderson, and its specialty is straightforward: milkshakes blended with cake. Shook Shakery celebrated its first store with a ribbon cutting on August 29, 2026, bringing a new drive-through option to the growing St. Rose corridor.
For neighbors deciding whether to try it, the most useful detail is the format. This is not a traditional sit-down ice cream parlor. The converted former drive-through Starbucks has a vehicle lane, a walk-up ordering window and outdoor seating, but no indoor dining room.
The opening was reported by the Las Vegas Review-Journal, which photographed the ceremony and spoke with the owners and early customers. The store began serving customers the week before, making the ribbon cutting a celebration of an already operating business.
What exactly is a cake shake?
Instead of balancing an elaborate tower of candy and pastries on top of a drink, Shook Shakery blends cake into the milkshake itself. The owners have described the idea as a textured dessert that is rich without relying on oversized toppings.
Earlier reporting described 15 flavors organized into three groups: Classics, Fancy and Fun. That was the launch plan, not a guarantee that every flavor remains available every day. Ask about current selections, allergens and substitutions at the window.
A previously reported price was around $9 per shake. Treat that as an opening-period reference, not a current menu quote; posted prices and promotions may change. Families buying several drinks may want to check the total before ordering.
A familiar bakery founder, but a separate business
Co-owner Dena Tripp helped create Nothing Bundt Cakes, the bakery chain that began in Las Vegas. That background has attracted attention, but Shook Shakery is a separate venture and is not affiliated with Nothing Bundt Cakes.
The Henderson opening also involves Sean Tripp and Jessica Spencer. The team has discussed plans for more Las Vegas Valley stores, with Henderson serving as its first operating location. Future stores were proposed for other parts of Southern Nevada.
That expansion is still a plan until each location opens. For now, the important local story is that a previously occupied commercial building has found a new use and that customers can visit the St. Rose store today. |

Quick facts before you visit:
Planning a first visit
The drive-through may appeal to people running errands along St. Rose Parkway, while the walk-up window offers another option for nearby residents. Outdoor seating can be useful when the weather cooperates, but it should not be mistaken for climate-controlled indoor seating.
Because cake and dairy are central to the concept, anyone with food allergies or dietary restrictions should ask staff for the current ingredient information rather than assuming a flavor is suitable. Staff can also confirm whether a particular shake is available.
The published grand-opening celebration featured samples and community visitors. Those giveaways were tied to the August event and should not be advertised as ongoing offers. Look for current specials directly from the business.
Why this opening matters locally
West Henderson continues to add shops, services and restaurants as its residential neighborhoods expand. A specialty dessert shop is a smaller change than a major development, but it adds another option for a quick family treat or a stop after dinner.
The conversion also illustrates a common retail trend: existing drive-through properties can be reused by businesses with different menus and customer habits. That can bring new activity to a familiar corner without requiring a new building.
For a practical visit, confirm the current hours and menu, use the designated vehicle or pedestrian access, and remember that seating is outside. The store is already open; the three other proposed valley locations are separate future developments.
For opening coverage and photographs, see the Las Vegas Review-Journal's August 29 report. Additional launch details appeared in the Review-Journal's August 6 preview. Both are useful sources for understanding the owners' concept without treating promotional plans as guaranteed outcomes.

Fifteen launch flavors sounds like a lot to choose from. Is the current flavor list posted where walk-up customers can read it before ordering?
With cake mixed right in, I'd want to check ingredients first. Can they tell you which flavors contain nuts at the window?
Luis R.The article says to ask at the window, but I'd ask about shared blenders too if it's an allergy.
I'm glad there's a walk-up window too. Does the outdoor seating have any shade?
Anita PatelGood question. Has anyone been by and seen whether the tables have umbrellas?
The walk-up window is a nice option! We know there’s outdoor seating, but we haven’t confirmed whether it’s shaded.
Around $9 a shake adds up fast for a family. Do they post the current prices at the drive-through before you get to the window?
Nice to see the old Starbucks building in use again. Is there enough room for the drive-through line without backing up onto St. Rose?
Cake blended into a shake sounds good. Does anyone know if the St. Rose location has a dairy-free option?
