Your guide to the farmers market, Aki Matsuri, Zombie Run, Sunday jazz and a 50+ movie outing |

Five outings fill Henderson's October 10–12, 2026 calendar: a farmers market, a Japanese festival, a Halloween-themed run, jazz and a movie day for adults 50 and older. Three fall on Saturday, so timing matters.
Weekend at a glance
All times are Pacific. Check the City of Henderson calendar and individual event listings for last-minute changes.
Saturday: Three ways to get out
1. Farmers Market at Cornerstone Park
9 a.m.–2 p.m. · Cornerstone Park. Browse market vendors and enjoy an easy outdoor start to the weekend. Vendor participation varies; confirm details with the city's event calendar.
2. Aki Matsuri Japanese Festival
11 a.m.–9 p.m. · Water Street Plaza, 240 S. Water St. · Free admission. Japanese performances, food, demonstrations and family activities fill the plaza. Purchases and some activities may cost extra. Read our Aki Matsuri visitor guide for parking and program highlights.
3. Zombie Run 5K and 1-Mile Walk
5:30–7:30 p.m. · Wildhorse Golf Course, 2100 W. Warm Springs Road. Costumes are welcome at this Halloween-themed run and walk. The city advertises chip timing for the 5K and a medal and shirt for the first 300 participants. Verify fees, start details and registration through the official annual runs page. |

Sunday: An afternoon of jazz
4. Christine Tassan & Les Impostures
Sunday, Oct. 11 · 2 p.m. The guitar-led ensemble brings a jazz-focused option after Saturday's outdoor schedule. Confirm the venue, ticketing and seating on the city event listing before traveling.
Monday: A movie outing for adults 50+
5. Southpoint Senior Movie Day
Monday, Oct. 12 · 11 a.m.–4 p.m. This 50+ Day Trip Destinations activity is a planned outing, not a general walk-in screening. Ask Henderson Parks and Recreation about eligibility, transportation, the meeting point, registration and any charges.
Plan your weekend
For a flexible Saturday, visit the farmers market in the morning, explore Aki Matsuri afterward, then choose whether to attend the evening Zombie Run. These events overlap, so allow time for travel and parking.
Registration and admission policies differ. Use the official events calendar to check current information rather than assuming every activity is free or open to walk-ins. |

Aki Matsuri sounds like a fun Saturday plan. I’m glad admission is free so we can stop by for a bit.
