Those concrete columns near Green Valley Parkway and the 215 Beltway are supports for a future pedestrian bridge, not a new elevated roadway. The crossing is intended to connect parts of The District at Green Valley Ranch and carry the I-215 Trail over the street.
The bridge is part of Henderson's approximately $160 million I-215 widening project between Pecos Road and Stephanie Street. The larger work also includes ramp improvements and a planned diverging diamond interchange.
An October 1 construction bulletin identifies possible overnight lane reductions from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. on affected nights. Conditions can change as work progresses.
Walkers and cyclists face trail closures and temporary detours, too. The new pedestrian bridge is not yet open, so posted routes remain essential.

Construction is underway at The Cliff, an office-to-retail redevelopment at 2500 and 2550 Paseo Verde Parkway in Green Valley Ranch. The property is being repositioned as a dining, shopping, fitness and entertainment destination.
VAC Development began work in September 2026. Local redevelopment reporting identifies prospective businesses including The Taco Stand, Killer Whale Creamery, Pvolve and BODYROK, alongside several home and lifestyle retailers.
Developers expect to begin handing tenant spaces over in the second quarter of 2027. That is not a confirmed public opening date; each business will need to complete its space and announce its own schedule.
Reported investment estimates vary depending on whether land acquisition, construction and other costs are counted. Our guide separates the different figures instead of presenting them as one settled price.

Three manufacturing training options are coming to Henderson through the College of Southern Nevada and the city. The programs are based at the Debra March Center of Excellence and are designed for people exploring hands-on technical careers.
The tracks vary in length: four-week Manufacturing Assembler Training, a five-week Technician course with 100 instructional hours, and a 14-week Trades Technician One program with 180 hours.
Before the first cohort begins October 19, 2026, CSN has scheduled a Manufacturing Career Discovery Day on October 15 from 4 to 6 p.m. at 2200 Via Inspirada.
Visitors can explore training labs and ask staff about course content, schedules and next steps. It is a useful opportunity for career changers and first-time technical students.

Hedary’s Mediterranean is back in Las Vegas. The Lebanese restaurant celebrated its grand opening October 2, 2026, at The Gramercy in southwest Las Vegas, bringing a familiar local restaurant name to a new address.
The family’s story began in Beirut in 1960 and later moved to Texas. Frank Hedary opened a Las Vegas restaurant on West Sahara Avenue in 2004. His sister Mariz Khoury now leads the new location, continuing the family's local dining history, as documented by the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
Food is the draw. Hedary’s highlights freshly baked pita from an open kitchen, along with hummus, baba ghanoush, falafel and other mezze. The signature Frarej combines baked chicken with potatoes, carrots, garlic and lemon. A Dinner for Two offers a broader introduction to the menu.
The restaurant is at 9275 W. Russell Road, Suite 180. Hours listed by Las Vegas Weekly were 11 a.m.–9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 11 a.m.–10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The Gramercy’s official venue listing matches those hours; Sunday hours are not listed. Confirm changes directly before visiting. Read More... |

Meet Lucy, an eight-week-old black-and-white female puppy listed at The Animal Foundation in Las Vegas. Her shelter record identifies her as A1441212, with a weight of four pounds and an adoption fee currently listed at $250.
Lucy arrived on October 9, 2026, with a stray intake classification. Her public profile does not confirm a breed, personality traits or future adult size. Those are important questions for an adoption counselor, not details anyone should guess from a photograph.
Because Lucy is only eight weeks old, prospective adopters should prepare for house-training, supervised chewing, regular feeding, veterinary appointments and safe early socialization. A puppy needs time, consistency and a household ready for the daily work of raising a young dog.
The shelter is located at 655 N. Mojave Road. Its adoption guide explains the digital check-in process and notes that very young puppies may have limited meet-and-greet options for health reasons.

⨠The Beauty Drop SMART SELF-CARE FOR DESERT LIVING āļø Cooler weather. Same Nevada sun.
Henderson mornings are finally feeling more like fall, but UV protection still belongs in your routine. Before heading to Water Street, the farmers market or your neighborhood park, apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen. Follow the label for reapplication, especially after sweating.
š§“ The easy desert-air fix: Moisturize after washing, keep lip balm in your bag and give your hands a little extra care when they feel dry. No ten-step routine required.
